Operation Encompass
Forest Row CE Primary School is taking part in a project that is being run jointly between schools and Sussex Police. Operation Encompass is the reporting to schools, prior to the start of the next school day, when a child or young person has been exposed to, or involved in, any domestic incident.
Operation Encompass ensures that a trained member of the school staff is able to liaise with the police and to use the information that has been shared in confidence, whilst ensuring that the school is able to make provision for possible difficulties experienced by children, or their families, who have been involved in, or exposed to, a domestic abuse incident.
Forest Row Flyer - Safeguarding Spotlight
In our fortnightly flyer, which is sent to all parents, we include a spotlight on safeguarding. This section of the flyer includes resources and tips for parents or information about what we are doing in school. An example is included below.
In every classroom, we have worry boxes which we encourage children to use. We also have NSPCC posters up across the school with information on how to contact Childline.

NSPCC
In school, we use a range of resources from the NSPCC to support the delivery of particular lessons. The NSPCC also provide useful information for parents. Please see the link below for further information.
