I am an experienced Chair of Governors and I work with local authorities to deliver governance training and development.
I am a National Leader of Governance, appointed by the DfE and will be bringing all my experience to the role as Chair at Forest Row.
I share the vision and values of Forest Row School, I am also committed to ensuring that the children at Forest Row continue to enjoy school as a calm, happy and purposeful place. |
David Summers |
Parent Governor (Vice Chair) |
David has lived in Forest Row since 2014 and has two children attending the school. He is keen to keep the school at the heart of the community. He is an optometrist and has a family background in education. The time he has spent as a parent reader encouraged him to become a parent governor in 2022 |
Venerable Angela Martin |
Foundation Governor

Angela is the local vicar and is an Ex-Officio member of the Board. Over the last 18 years she has been on the GB of four different primary schools, three church schools and a state school. During her time as a governor she has been a treasurer and has sat on both a premises and a curriculum committee. Angela sees being a governor as a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the life of the community and to be involved in the future of the lives of our children which is ultimately contributing to the future for us all.

Ian first joined the GB as a parent governor when both his children attended the school. Ian has prime responsibility for Health and Safety and Safeguarding. He regularly visits the school as safeguarding governor and to hear readers. This means he is able to speak with children and make sure that they feel safe and happy.

Peter has lived in Forest Row for 20 Years. He has a background in Finance and has been the Financial Controller/Manager for a number of organisations including the Church of England Pensions Board during his career. |

Originally from Scotland, Drew moved to Forest Row in 2015. With two children in school and a third due to start in 2025, he's keen to see the school succeed. Working as a senior software engineer he's responsible for delivering software and mentoring younger programmers. He's also an amateur musician with a keen interest in music education. |
