Instrumental and Vocal lessons
FIRST ACCESS (WHOLE CLASS ENSEMBLE TUITION) KEY STAGE 2 PROGRAMME
Whole Class Ensemble Tuition programme, which is one of the core roles of the National Plan for Music Education, provides a whole-class instrumental learning opportunity for KS2 children in schools across East Sussex. Led by a Create Music specialist instrumental teacher, supported by the class teacher, pupils experience the excitement of practical music making for up to 30 weeks. Musical skills learnt during First Access include:
- Instrumental technique
- Ensemble skills
- Composing and Improvising
- Performance skills
- Working creatively as part of a team
Currently, all children in Year 3 are learning the ukelele as part of whole class instrumental tuition.
VOCAL TUITION
Children in EYFS and Key Stage 1 receive one long term of singing lessons with a Create Music specialist. In addition, all children participate in a weekly Singing Assembly.
INSTRUMENTAL LESSONS
Create Music offers individual and group lessons to primary aged pupils during the school day on a range of instruments including guitar, violin, keyboard, flute and trumpet to name but a few.
If your child is interested in learning an instrument, please register your interest via the Create Music website (see below) and someone from the music service will be in contact when there is enough interest to begin lessons.
