Adverse Weather Information  EMERGENCY SCHOOL CLOSURE PROCEDURE

A decision about Emergency School Closures will be made by 7.30am on the day in question e.g. in the case of snow or bad weather.

You will receive an e-mail message from the School Gateway to confirm the closure on the first day. On subsequent days, please look on the School website www.forestrow.e-sussex.sch.uk

The East Sussex County Council website at www.eastsussex.gov.uk will also be updated every 15 minutes with school closures. Please be aware that both these websites may be temporarily unavailable whilst new information is being uploaded or slow due to high volume of traffic.

Another option for parents/carers is the e-mail ‘alert’ facility available from the County Council website. If you add your e-mail address to the section ‘get e-mail alerts when this school closes unexpectedly’, you will have an automatic e-mail sent to you as soon as the County Council receive notification from the school itself of the emergency closure. To register your e-mail address for this facility you should log on to the County Council website via https://apps.eastsussex.gov.uk/educationandlearning/schools/schoolsearch/8453028.aspx
