Attendance
Good attendance is very important as it affects a child’s success in learning and helps to support them to reach their full potential.
At Forest Row, we are always striving to increase school attendance and work alongside parents and carers to do this. We will look at ways to support parents to improve their child’s attendance and remove any barriers.
Parents can view their child’s attendance figure at any time of the year via Arbor.
What is good attendance?
Good attendance means being in school at least 95% of the time or 180 - 190 days. Throughout the school year, there are already 175 non -school days for holidays, cultural experiences and appointments.
Requesting Absence
If you plan to take your child out of school during term time, a withdrawal from learning form, must be completed at least 2 weeks in advance. The forms can be found at the link below or at the school office. Following the submission of the form, your request will either be authorised or unauthorised.
