Welcome to Birch Class
This term (Summer 1, 2023), our learning project will be:
'What happens where the land meets the sea?'
This project is all about exploring coastal locations and looking at their features. We'll look at changes at the seaside within living memory as well as looking further back to the Victorian era. We'll find out why Grace Darling is remembered and find out about amazing work of the RNLI. We hope to have a visit from an RNLI member to tell us more about their important work. We will also investigate lighthouses and link this to our work in art when we create a seascape of a lighthouse.
There is an exciting addition to our PE lessons this term as we begin Drumba. This high intensity interval training with drumming will certainly get our heart rates up! Take a look at the video at the top of www.drumba.co.uk to see what we'll be getting up to.
