Message from the Headteacher

Welcome to Forest Row Church of England (VC) Primary School

Welcome to our school Website. Whether you are an existing member of our school community, a prospective parent/carer or a passing visitor, I hope that you find this site interesting and informative. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please let us know. Our details may be found in the “Contact Us” link on the left side of this page.

Our Website has recently been redesigned to provide much more information than the previous “static” site where only the prospectus was available. The new design provides more up to date information on events and activities as well as topical news. As it is in its infancy, I expect that we will continue to fine tune the design and content and your comments would obviously be very welcome.

You should be aware of the new “Next Generation Network” initiative which will provide the infrastructure for the national “e-learning platforms”. This will provide children and their parents/carers with the ability to access teaching resources from home as well as submit homework and interact with teachers on-line. This is part of a national programme to enable personalised learning which aims to strengthen the link between learning and teaching by engaging pupils - and their parents/carers - as partners in learning. These facilities are now live and can be accessed from the link on the left side of this page.

At Forest Row, we seek to provide a confident, relaxed atmosphere for children to make the most of their abilities. We have a strong ethos in terms of providing support for individuals and equal opportunities are provided for all regardless of gender, ability, background or belief. In all our teaching and school life we seek to develop trust, confidence and self-esteem.

You are most welcome to come and visit us at any time and see for yourself what makes Forest Row such a special school – our pupils!

Emma Twaddell, Acting Head Teacher
